PPOL Associate Professor Masaru YARIME served on the Independent Panel of Judges for the Hong Kong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting Awards (HERA) 2022 to recognize companies with exceptional performance in ESG reports.
Hong Kong ESG Reporting Award is a not-for-profit initiative established to encourage Hong Kong companies to promote ESG values and adopt ESG practices. There are over 100 entries competing for a total of 10 award categories this year, which include Best ESG Report, Best Sustainability Report for Non-listed Company, Best GRI Report, Excellence in ESG Governance, Excellence in Environmental Positive Impact, Excellence in Social Positive Impact, Newcomer Award, Carbon Neutral Award, Outstanding ESG Improvement Award, and the new "Excellence In Real Estate" award.
Professor Masaru YARIME recognized the upcoming challenges in promoting sustainability practices, including the unified sustainability standards, carbon-related disclosure, and the net-zero target in numerous areas.
