Developing a Green Finance Centre in Hong Kong in the Context of Green Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area: Institutional Analysis and Policy Design
A new research project "Developing a Green Finance Centre in Hong Kong in the Context of Green Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area: Institutional Analysis and Policy Design", led by Professor Ye Qi, Director of the Institute for Public Policy (IPP), has been funded by the HKSAR Policy Innovation and Coordination Office (PICO) under the Strategic Public Policy Research Funding Scheme. The project is a joint effort between scholars and experts from the IPP, Division of Public Policy, Hong Kong Green Finance Association, Central University of Finance and Economics, and Shenzhen Municipal Centre for Climate Change.
This three-year project is intended to provide policy research support to the governments of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area on green finance and green development. The IPP has already started working with PICO, Financial Service and Development Council, China Emissions Exchange Guangzhou, and China Emissions Exchange Shenzhen.
The project is expected to begin from 1st April 2020.
