In a recent interview by TVB News on the potential environmental impact due to the spill-over of coolant water containing radioactive substances from the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant during the strong earthquake of magnitude 7.6 in Noto Penisula, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, Prof. Julien de Troulliuod de Lanversin, Assistant Professor of the Division of PPOL, at HKUST ensured the public that the spill-over was a minimum fraction of the coolant water in the pool.
