This project aims to develop case studies for experiential learning in social science and public policy education. The case pedagogy presents students with real‐life social and policy issues, situates them as key stakeholders and decision‐makers, and engages them in debates and discussions. By taking up the role to deliberate, explain, and defend, students learn how to unpack social phenomena, resolve complex policy problems, and reach justifiable strategies and decisions. They also develop effective analytical, problem‐solving, and decision‐making skills, in addition to self‐confidence and cohesive peer relationships. The project is led by Professor James Wong and Professor Xun Wu, steered with a team of faculty members from the Division of Public Policy and the Division of Social Science.
